Hands of Gratitude
Margaretta students in 8th and 9th grade worked with a team of volunteers from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies in an all-day event to build prosthetic hands. Thanks to a program called Hands of Gratitude, students collaborated in building prosthetic hands from 3D-printed materials for individuals in need across the globe. Through this meaningful project, students have the opportunity to build empathy, reflect on the global impact of their work, and explore real-world career connections.

Hands of Gratitude is a unique give back team building program designed to strengthen compassion, empathy and impact. Corporate groups or students at Hands of Gratitude events work together to build 3D printed prosthetic hands. These are later gifted to recipients around the world with upper limb differences, greatly increasing their mobility and improving their lives. Through Hands of Gratitude programs, participants make a real difference in the lives of others while gaining first-hand experience in the power of positive collaboration. The results are life changing for all involved! Thank you to Fruendenberg for making this event possible!

This inspiring day was organized by: Heather Campana, Heather Lott, Heather Wiley, Jen Theis, Mike Roberts, Lucas Poggiali, Steve Keller, and Bill Minshall. We are very proud of our students for their effort with completing this project.
